Swavesey Windmill is the perfect countryside venue for a wedding. Whether you want to hold a small, intimate event or a large family wedding, we have an adaptable space that can accommodate your taste and requirements.

We are flexible about how you use the space and are happy to work with you to create different areas for different parts of the day. This includes use of the lawn to the rear of the property for marquees and the pontoon area overlooking the large pond.

We are licensed to hold weddings & civil ceremonies meaning that you can host your entire day from start to finish in one venue, with the full use of our wedding marquee attached to the main venue giving you ample space for your sit down reception meal, whether formal or informal leaving the main venue with fully stocked licensed bar, band, disco and dancing.

We appreciate that it takes time to prepare the venue. Therefore it is our policy to only host one wedding per weekend and to allow the bridal party access to the venue in the day before and after the wedding.

Outdoor sunflower wedding

Tom and Gemma were married at Swavesey Windmill last summer. They wanted to make the most of the outdoor space and held their wedding ceremony on the pontoon by the lake. We had a marquee too just in case the weather turned!

The ceremony was followed by dinner and dancing indoors. Their blue and yellow colour scheme was perfect for the summer months with sunflowers used all around the venue.

The happy couple made sure to take time out to have some great photos taken all around the venue.

Balloons and bubbly

Sam and Charlotte held their reception at Swavesey Windmill this summer. They made great use of the marquee decorating it with helium balloons and really making the space their own. Fortunately the weather was good enough for photos and drinks outside.
The couple chose to convert the space for the evening do to make sure there was plenty of room for dancing.
